Jennifer Larmore and OpusFive

Star Mezzo Jennifer Larmore with International Quintet, OpusFive present a wonderful program to showcase their talents together and individually.

Duets for Jennifer and the great violinist Sebastian Hamann from the operas:  Lakmé, Hansel & Gretel and Les Contes d'Hoffmann; Arias from Hercules, Ariodante, Carmen and La Cenerentola plus songs by Obradors and Strauss. There is also a hauntingly beautiful oratorio aria from Bach's Matthew Passion.

Jennifer shows her versatility and strengths while OpusFive show why they are some of the most talented musicians in the world with The Art of the Fugue by Bach and their stunning collaboration with Jennifer Larmore.

Recitals with piano are always intimate and entertaining, but with a string quintet there is an added dimension of depth and interest due to the sound of the strings. Adding a double bass into the mix turns the whole thing into a little orchestra!

As recitalists, chambermusicians and soloists the members of  OpusFive appeared on the major stages of Chicago, Salzburg, New York, Oslo, Malaga, Milan, Berlin, Kairo, G´dansk, Tokyo, Seoul, Paris, Madrid, Bologna, Baden-Baden, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Stockholm, Lisbon, Hamburg, Lyon, Brussels, Torino, Cologne, Lucerne, Rome, Amsterdam, Heidelberg, Nice, Parma, Munich and at the festivals of
Schleswig-Holstein, Schwetzingen, Ravinia Festival, Lucerne, Cité de la Musique Paris, Gstaad, Bayreuth, Porto, Sion, Maulbronn, Sveg, Rheingau, and Beethoven Fest Bonn among others.
